Another airline bites the dust: Zoom

Discount airline Zoom shut down today.

From their website:

"Only last year Zoom Airlines made profit, but that turned into a loss [this year] due to the unprecedented increase in the price of aviation fuel and the economic climate."

"We have been advised that British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are graciously offering special fares to assist Zoom customers that have been displaced by the suspension of our services."

Zoom, based in Canada and the U.K., added flights from New York City's JFK to London's Gatwick about a year ago.
