Ask Trip Coach: Spa vacations

A trip to the spa can be intimidating, and not only because you have no idea what an Ayurvedic treatment entails. We're here to answer your questions so that a spa visit is as worry-free and relaxing as it should be.

But first, we need your questions. If you've ever wondered about any part of the spa experience—how to find them, how to evaluate them, how to figure out a match to your expectations, how to get the best value—now is your chance to get answers. You may be curious about issues such as:

Do you get more value by staying in a hotel and paying a la carte for spa treatments, or by booking a stay in which treatments are included?

What are the best resources for finding great spas, and for finding great spa package deals?

Do guys really go to spas, or is that marketing hype?

What kind of spa is best for first-timers?

What are some of the most common spa faux pas?

Is it necessary to get naked before a massage?

When is it appropriate to tip spa staffers, and how much should I tip?

Ask your questions, and we'll do our best to answer them in an upcoming issue of Budget Travel.
