On December 31, New York City's Manhattan Bridge turned 100 years old. Lonely Planet spokesman and guidebook writer Robert Reid organized a party for the bridge, which was attended by the New York Times' Frugal Traveler Matt Gross and other luminaries. Here's the video, which includes punk jump-roping and an original tribute song to the bridge by the Beau Jennings of the rock band "Cheyenne."
