The "ski for free" package includes two lift tickets per person and a two-night stay at Stratton's centrally located, 75-room Lift Line Lodge. Two indoor hot tubs and a small Russian spa are on the premises. The deal can be extended for $39.50 per person per night.
Getting to Stratton, Vermont: The ski resort's website has driving directions from places along the east coast; and the bus company Adventure Northeast runs shuttles from New York City to Stratton at $109 round-trip.
The closest airport is in Albany, about a 45-minute drive away. Round-trip airfare in late March is currently pricing at $153 (American Airlines) from Chicago; $223 (U.S. Airways) from Washington, D.C.; $285 (Continental) from New York City; $308 (American Airlines) from Los Angeles.
