The package includes round-trip airfare on a major carrier such as Air France (U.S.-Barcelona and Madrid-U.S.) and six nights' accommodations, two nights in each city. The trip begins in Barcelona, where you'll stay at the 160-room Catalonia Aragon on Calle Aragón, near the Sagrada Familia (Gaudí's unfinished church) and the beach. Then on to Valencia and the Expo Hotel, with a Mediterranean restaurant, rooftop pool, and prime shopping and business location in the Nuevo Centro district. Last stop is Madrid's Tryp Washington on the Gran Vía, a short walk from the Plaza de España and the Royal Palace.

Extend your stay, from $98 in Barcelona, $96 in Valencia, or $126 in Madrid; all rates are per room per night. Upgrade to Gate 1's "Plan A" hotels (Barcelona Center, Valencia Center, and Tryp Atocha), from $100 per person.

First-class tickets for high-speed train rides between the cities are also part of the package. A Barcelona flamenco show ($36 per person) is one of many optional events, city tours, and excursions available at an extra cost.

For the latest goings-on, visit these official tourism sites: barcelonaturisme.com, turisvalencia.es, and descubremadrid.com.

In comparison, the lowest round-trip, multicity fare we've found between New York City and Spain in early November is $482 (multiple carriers) per person. For about $500 more, Gate 1 Travel covers the airfare, train travel, and six-night stay.
