The package includes round-trip airfare to Shannon on Aer Lingus and three nights' accommodations. The first night is at a three-star hotel in Shannon, such as the Clare Inn Golf & Leisure, where there's an Irish coffee welcome reception. The remaining two nights are at B&Bs of your choice throughout Ireland. Add extra nights from $60 per person per night or splurge on a one-night castle stay for about $90 per person.

An economy-class,  manual-shift car from Dooley Car Rental gives you the freedom to explore coastal towns and scenic byways well beyond Shannon. Upgrade to an automatic for an extra $50 per person. A tour of the Waterford Crystal factory is also included.

Keep in mind that Shannon's average winter temperatures are in the low-to-mid 40s, and that December is the rainiest month. Pack for chilly, damp weather! For more local information, visit the official website of the Shannon region, shannonregiontourism.ie

In comparison, the lowest round-trip fares we've found for Shannon in early November are $465 from New York City (American) and $722 from Boston (multiple carriers). The Dooley Vacations air/car/hotel package offers fantastic savings--it's almost the same price as a flight from New York City and about $220 less than a flight from Boston!
