Go Away for Valentine's Day!

Fourteen bargain getaways for (travel) lovers.
Wednesday, January 17, 2007 |

It seems easier to find true love than a great bargain on Valentine's Day, when travel prices jump. We've tracked down 14 sweet vacation deals that may help. Of course, Valentine's falls on a Wednesday this year, so it's tough to use the holiday as an excuse for a long weekend escape. But take heart: Most of the deals we've found can be booked for travel throughout the month.

The upscale Hotel Jerome is offering two nights in a 525-square-foot room with a king-size bed as part of a Romance package. Champagne on arrival, ski-lift tickets for two each day at all four of Aspen's mountains, and free transport to the resorts are included. Each night, a staff member adds salts to your bathtub to make your evening soak more relaxing. Savor a candlelit dinner for two in one of the hotel's restaurants, and breakfasts for two each day.
