What Makes This a Deal: The lowest fares we've found for travel to St. Thomas (airport code STT) in late March are $366 from New York City (U.S. Airways), $396 from Fort Lauderdale (Spirit), $460 from Tampa (American), and $464 from Orlando (American). For just $100-$200 more per person, Cheap Caribbean covers the airfare as well as the seven-night stay.

Trip Details: The package includes round-trip airfare to St. Thomas on a major airline and a seven-night stay in a double-occupancy room at one of four resorts, depending on your preferences and the availability for your travel dates. The hilltop 17th-century Bluebeard's Castle overlooks the harbor and Charlotte Amalie and has tennis courts and a pool. The 67-villa Elysian Beach Resort lies on the eastern end of the island near the town of Red Hook.

Magens Bay Villas Club and the Tropic Leisure Club are both located at beautiful Magens Point, one of the finest spots worldwide for sailing, fishing, and scuba diving.

Rooms at any of the above properties accommodate up to three people; a third adult can join your party for $529 per person (instead of the $579 rate), and a child age 12 or under can join for $479.

Weather in St. Thomas is mild and sunny year-round, with average temperatures in the 80s Fahrenheit. Before you go, check the latest forecast at BudgetTravelOnline.com.

Since St. Thomas is a U.S. territory, U.S. dollars are the local currency and English the official language. And even though passports are now required for most of the Caribbean, you still don't need one to travel to any of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
