Bargain B&B in Snowville, N.H.

The Mudslide package at the Snowvillage Inn offers two night accommodations, breakfast and candlelit dinner daily, mudslide drinks and mud pie each evening, and a guided two-mile hike to the top of nearby Foss Mountain, starting at $398 per couple. Off-roading in Lower Waterford, Vt.

The Muddy Tracks Getaway package at the Rabbit Hill Inn includes a two-night stay with candlelit breakfast and three-course dinner daily, a guided tour up nearby Barron Mountain in a Swiss army Pinzgauer transport vehicle, and a pair of free cocktails, and starts at $589 per couple. The Inn by the Sea's In the Mood for Mud package includes a one-night stay in an ocean-view suite (which is at least 500 square feet, with a kitchen and a deck or balcony), your choice of an in-room mud mask (full body) or an in-room mud foot soak, dinner for two, two pairs of L.L. Bean's Storm Chaser boots in your sizes, and selected complimentary cocktails on arrival. The inn is about a 10-minute drive from Portland. Rates start at $679 per couple per night. The Personal Escape package at the Spa at Norwich Inn offers lodging, use of the spa's facilities (including a sauna, whirlpool, and indoor pool), your choice of two spa treatments (featuring a 25-minute mud bath and a 50-minute mud wrap) using mud imported from India, two fitness classes, and breakfast, starting at $756 per night per couple, including all taxes, fees, and gratuities.
