Major cruise lines are increasing their presence in Asia, adding ships, sailings, and ports of call.

Royal Caribbean When Rhapsody of the Seas departs from Singapore in December, it'll be the biggest ship in Asia. Itineraries--from weekend island hops to 12-night voyages--will include stops in Kuala Lumpur and Phuket. 866/562-7625, royalcaribbean.com, from $299.

Star Cruises The Asia-Pacificbased operator has a new ship, SuperStar Aquarius, sailing out of Hong Kong, with ports of call in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. At 13 stories, it's the biggest ship based in Hong Kong. 888/666-1888, starcruises.com, from $625.
