A new agreement will make it easier to fly to the Continent—but will prices drop?

The Open Skies agreement goes into effect on March 30, allowing U.S. and EU airlines to operate transatlantic flights between any cities they like. Virgin Atlantic, for instance, could operate Paris-New York or Rome-Atlanta flights. Prices may or may not drop, but we'll be seeing more nonstops, such as the ones Northwest is planning from London-Heathrow to Minneapolis and Seattle. (Adding confusion, British Airways is launching an airline called OpenSkies.)
