Why It's a Deal In a recent Kayak search, we found a round-trip multicity fare between Houston, Lisbon, and Porto for $718 for travel in September (US Airways/TAP). For just $116 more per person, including all taxes, the European Destinations package provides airfare as well as six nights' accommodations and a Alfa Pendular rail ticket between the two cities, a trip of about three hours.

Lodging European Destinations has a network of 164 hotels in Lisbon and 59 hotels in Porto to choose from. At the quoted starting price, you'll stay at the 47-room Residencial Princesa in Lisbon, just a five-minute walk from a metro station, and at the Residencial Davilina in Porto, which is about five minutes from the historic city center.

More In Lisbon, upgrade to the Sana Executive Hotel for $22 more per person; in Porto, upgrade to the Tryp Porto Centro for $53 more per person. Add nights in Lisbon from $42 per person; in Porto from $30 per person.

Before You Go U.S. citizens will need a valid passport for travel; a visa is not required. Note that hotel transfers are not included. In Lisbon, a taxi from the airport will cost about $10.
