Tour Highlights The itinerary begins in Rapid City, S.D., and ends in Salt Lake City. Along the way, you'll stop at the Mount Rushmore National Monument, the Crazy Horse Memorial (the world's largest sculpture in progress, started more than 50 years ago), the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center (known for its Wild West exhibits), and the Whitney Gallery of Western Art. You'll also get a full-day tour of Yellowstone National Park, including Old Faithful, and, weather permitting, a half-day canoe or inner-tube trip in Grand Teton National Park. Along the way, you'll pass through beautiful and varied American landscapes: South Dakota's Black Hills, Wyoming's high plains, the Yellowstone River, chunks of the Oregon Trail in Idaho, and Logan Canyon in Utah.

Lodging You'll spend two nights at the Radisson Hotel Rapid City, one night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Billings, Mont., two nights at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone Park (a booking that's hard to get on your own, as the inn sells out quickly), one night at The Virginian Lodge in Jackson, Wyo., and one night at the Hilton Center in Salt Lake City. Before You Go Note that the trip begins in Rapid City and ends in Salt Lake City, and Caravan doesn't offer bus service back to Rapid City. There is a complimentary shuttle between the Rapid City airport and the meeting hotel; in Salt Lake City, you can take a $6 per person shuttle from the hotel to the airport.
