Why It's a Deal According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest multicity fares from New York to Genoa and from Rome to New York start at $692 with taxes for travel in February 2010 (Delta). A flight between Genoa and Rome starts at $217 (Air France). Add to that the cost of an eight-night sail along the Iberian coast, which starts from $82 a night in February, and you'd be paying a total of $1,565 if you booked this package independently. But for an additional $94, Friendly Planet's Iberian Coasts Cruise package covers the international and local flights and an eight-night sail with all meals, plus all transfers, two additional nights in Rome, and all taxes and fees.

More Optional activities are available at varying rates. Cabin upgrades start at $249 per person for eight nights in a standard outside cabin. Additional nights at Hotel Genova in Rome start at $148 per room for a single; add $42 per room for a double.
