If you think you have a great Road Trip suggestion, send us a pitch. It can be anywhere in the U.S. as long as the idea behind the trip is unique. Include some background on what makes the destination special (Is it a place people don't know about? Is something happening that we should know about?), why you think other people would care, and why you're the person to write it. Our Road Trip stories are always four days long, and you have to be able to travel by the end of August. Use the form below to submit your dream assignment.
The submission deadline is June 30, 2008; only one submission per person. The winner will be the pitch the editors deem best. We will pay the winner our standard writing rates (though our standard contract must be signed).
Note:This story was accurate when it was published. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.
When it comes to representing the U.S. abroad, some of our fellow citizens don’t do us proud. But our easy guide to being a good citizen of the world will come in handy next time you get your passport stamped!
