Europe: Make It a Multicity Trip
You're going all the way to Europe, so why not add another city to your itinerary? Booking a cheap flight from hubs like London, Paris, and Rome is easier than you think.
TIPS
Meta search engines Dohop and Kayak are the best places to do price comparisons. Dohop is the best for searching low-cost carriers in Europe, so start there. Kayak is a great all-around site, and always worth checking, so see if it can beat Dohop's lowest price. It makes good sense to check both before going on to book your tickets.
Midweek travel will always be cheaper than weekend travel. If you can, make your actual travel dates on Monday through Thursday; we found the best fares below by pricing a Tuesday departure and Thursday return. Also, shorter trips are often cheaper than longer trips; so maximize your dollar by keeping it quick—two days or so.
EasyJet and Ryanair seem to have the market cornered on cheap fares to and from European hubs, so don't be surprised if they are the carriers you end up with. But there are some exceptions; for example, Wizz Air is a relatively new player covering 150 routes in Europe, including Poland, Romania, and Ukraine.
