Instead, contrasting elements coexist happily under one roof: Floral damask sofas pair with geometric crystal chandeliers; acid-green, glass-walled showers play off classic architectural details such as garlands and cornices; and a wall-size photo of a scooter in the breakfast room broadcasts the 92-year-old building's playful spirit.
