'Hood Regent's Park, a ritzy residential neighborhood flanked by the 410-acre park (home to the London Zoo). The hotel is behind the Sherlock Holmes Museum and a short walk from the Baker Street subway station.
The Vibe A modest hotel on an upscale street lined with elegant 19th-centrury brown-brick homes. Thanks to renovations in 2006, guestrooms have a bright, contemporary look. A complimentary supply of coffee, hot chocolate, and freshly brewed tea is kept in the lobby and replenished around the clock.
Rooms The 29 rooms are small, but pleasant; blond-wood furnishings, cream patterned curtains, and compact features make the most of limited space. Each has with a small desk, a wall-mounted TV, and a tiled, shoebox-size bathroom. Rooms in back look out onto a dark inner courtyard but are surprisingly quiet given their proximity to a major road.
