About this Hotel
Price From $58
'Hood On a residential street in the quieter end of town and a 10-minute walk from Lake Nicaragua. The next-door restaurant, El Garaje, serves hearty meals and $1 local beers in frozen mugs.
The Vibe Owner Lucy Bartlett makes this laid-back, gay-friendly inn a favorite among repeat Granada visitors, who appreciate her tips and help with booking on-site shiatsu massages.
Rooms The luxurious upstairs suite spoils guests with their own hot tub, open-air shower, 13-foot-long balcony, and a view looking out at Mombacho volcano. The four standard rooms with queen-size beds face a lush secluded garden on the ground floor. Decoration is decidedly authentic: Nicaraguan handicrafts, colorful hand-stitched bedspreads, and locally made soaps.
Plus Quiet and homey, with a great suite for the price of a standard room at most other quality hotels.
Minus No pool, although plans for one are in the works.
Free Wi-Fi? Yes, plus a computer station.
Credit Cards Accepted MC, Visa; discounts for cash.
Details Doubles from $58, suite from $86. Rates include hotel taxes and a healthy breakfast with lots of fruit.
