’Hood The resort’s 20 acres are set right off International Drive, in the middle of the city’s attractions district. SeaWorld, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios are all a short drive away, and restaurants and designer outlet stores abound right outside the grounds.
The Vibe Made up of fully furnished two- and three-bedroom suites complete with kitchens and private balconies, the resort is enthusiastically welcoming to the entire family, including Fido. Mediterranean design touches like carved faux-stone archways and columns, iron scrollwork, custom tiled walkways, and warm hues (terra-cotta, green, and gold) create a serene ambience. The concierge, fitness center, meeting facilities, and other hotel services balance out the residential feel.
Rooms Beautiful woodwork in the dark-walnut kitchen cabinetry, the carved window valences, and the slatted headboards complement the earthy colors and granite counters in the kitchen and bath areas. Kitchens are fully equipped with appliances, dining service for six, and a breakfast bar; washers and dryers are also on hand. Comfortable beds are topped with white triple-sheeted blankets, chartreuse chenille coverlets, and terra-cotta floral pillows. The master bath has an oversize stall shower and Jacuzzi tub with an optional shuttered opening to the bedroom.
