About this Hotel

Price From $109

'Hood On the main strip of Japantown, a small historic district with private karaoke rooms, spa services, and buzzed-about boutiques. You can't miss the area's signature five-tiered Peace Pagoda.

The Vibe The hotel fuses classic Japanese design elements like a koi pond and ukiyo-e prints with modern spa culture. Guests can relax while remaining plugged in—because a Japanese soaking tub wouldn't be complete without a speaker system right around the corner.

Rooms Floor-to-ceiling shoji screens in the rooms and separate washing and soaking stations in the bathrooms lend the accommodations some authenticity. Rooms are comfortable and decorated in soothing, warm colors.

Plus Entrance to the luxurious communal baths at Kabuki Spring & Spa (located two blocks away) is free for guests, and—if you know what's good for you—mandatory. A complimentary Japanese-style tea service is available, if requested, Wednesdays through Sundays, 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Minus Don't get too excited about the hotel's pet-friendly status. You can't pack your pooch if it's over 12 pounds.

Free Wi-Fi? Yes.

Credit Cards Accepted AmEx, Diner's Club, Discover, MC, Visa.

Details Doubles from $109, suites from $189.
