It's worth strolling through the Iberostar Costa Dorada's sprawling lobby simply because it's one of the best-designed all-inclusive hotels in the Dominican Republic. The 516 brightly decorated rooms, inspired by the Caribbean setting, have rattan chairs, ceiling fans, and Taino and Moorish influences. Five minutes from Puerto Plata, the resort has lots of activities to keep you and your family busy: a PADI-certified dive center, live entertainment nightly, tennis courts, two pools, a three-mile stretch of beach, and even a hot tub encircled by Roman columns.
