The Gist The lobby of Le Pavillon, built in 1907, houses artifacts from the Louis XV era, including a pair of bronze cherubs on marble pedestals sculpted by Parisian artist DePatour. Antique furnishings in the 226 guest rooms add to the old-world New Orleans charm. This hotel is superb (and even said to be haunted), and we love it. It's beautifully decorated for the holidays and offers peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with milk and hot chocolate each evening in the lobby. That was fun!"
