About this Hotel

Price From $145

It doesn't get more quintessentially Miami than the Shelborne. The 200-room hotel, built in 1940, was the town's first beachfront high-rise, and it has the Art Deco pedigree-and seasonal party scene-to match. This year, the South Beach icon is unveiling the first phase of its ground-up renovation-with a white-on-white lobby, gleaming terrazzo floors, and three new restaurants. The splashy new pool deck, with its preserved-1940s-diving-platform-turned-fountain, will debut this month, and the rooms, last renovated in 1993, will have a whole new look (think black-and-white trellis wallpaper and floor-to-ceiling mirrors) to flaunt by June.
