The Gist With an understated and tactful decór, the 18 rooms at this family-owned inn are painted yellow, pink, or taupe. Bathrooms have high-pressure showers. Online reviews generally praised the hotel's full English breakfast, which is included in the rate and is served on Royal Doulton fine china, and the convenience of the hotel's location. (Victoria Station, a key subway stop, is only 1,000 feet away.) But note that there's no elevator in this six-floor building. For the greatest assurance of quiet, ask for a room that's not facing busy Belgrave Road. A deposit by check or bank draft is required for reservations at least two weeks' in advance of arrival.
