'Hood Smack in the middle of Calle Atravesada, the city's prime shopping strip. Parque Central is two blocks away, as are several banks and the local food market.
The Vibe Opened in February 2010, the boutique hotel's modern design elements—such as wiry red-metal chairs with white-leather cushions—stand out against the colonial architecture of the building, once the private home of late 19th-century Nicaraguan president Evaristo Carazo. The adjoining Mombacho Beach Club draws crowds to its poolside bar and full-service spa.
Rooms Salvadoran artist Baltasar Portillo designed the playful leather headboards and lounge chairs for the roomy upstairs quarters. All rooms have access to the expansive veranda with sweeping views of Granada's terra-cotta-tiled roofs and Mombacho volcano in the background. The four standard downstairs rooms are functional but small and share a communal kitchen.
Plus The room rate includes a daily spa service (massage, facial, manicure, or pedicure) at the Mombacho Beach Club.
