Bargain-hungry travelers to Oz now have more four more choices for veering off the beaten path. Qantas Airways has just added the cities of Rockhampton, Mackay, and Gladstone (Queensland), as well as Gove (Northern Territories), to its roster of destinations covered by the Aussie AirPass. The popular pass includes round-trip airfare from the U.S. to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, and then three flights within Australia. Cairns, Alice Springs, and Gold Coast are among the 21 options. Pricing varies based on the time of year and the cities chosen. A low-season pass with departures from Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Honolulu and travel within Australia's Zone 1 starts at $1,099.
