Why It’s a Deal According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fare between L.A. and Honolulu was $550, including taxes, for travel in late March (Hawaiian Airlines). Add to that about $202 per person, including taxes, for three nights at the Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki, and your total for airfare and accommodations is $752 when booked independently. For $274 less, this Pleasant Holidays package includes airfare, accommodations, and all taxes and fees.
More Optional activities include a 45-minute helicopter tour ($191 per person), Germaine’s Hawaiian Luau ($72 per person), and the Magic of Polynesia evening show ($55 per person). Additional nights at the Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki start from $76 per room per night. Add $102 per person to add two nights and a five-day automatic Hertz car rental with unlimited mileage, plus airport taxes of $38 and rental car taxes of about $62.
