'Hood In a quiet waterfront Charlestown neighborhood, right on the Harborwalk pedestrian trail and just a short stroll across the bridge from the North End, TD Garden, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
The Vibe Though popular with business travelers, this hotel has the feel of a leisure resort. Along with a pool, there's a pier—from which a water taxi serves the airport, Long Wharf, and other harbor destinations—plus a marina (not affiliated with the hotel) just outside.
Rooms All studio and one- or two-bedroom guest suites feature full kitchens and a standard Marriott decor, with views of Boston Harbor on one side and the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge on the other.

Minus Valet parking is $32 per day (a surface lot next door charges $22, but ins and outs cost extra); luckily, this is not really a neighborhood where you need to have a car.
