Why It's a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare from New York to New Delhi starts from $1,006 with taxes for travel in mid-May (Kuwait Airways). Add to that $251 per person, including tax, for two nights at Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri, $88 per person for two nights at Trident Agra, and $104 per person for two nights at Trident Jaipur, and you'd be paying $1,449 for just the airfare and accommodations. For just $184 more, this package covers the flight, six nights' hotel, plus seven meals, all ground transportation (including round-trip airport transfers and cross-country sightseeing), the services of an English-speaking guide, and all taxes and fees.

More Adventurous travelers can opt for an optional four-night extension to Nepal, including Kathmandu and an optional flight over Mt. Everest and the Himalayas from $699 per person. An optional tour package, from $59, includes tours of Agra Fort; It-mad-ud-Daulah and Sikandra; Jaipur and the Hawa Mahal.
