Why It's A Deal On a recent Kayak search, we found round-trip airfare between New York and Rome for $929 in early December (Alitalia, which offers the lowest-priced non-stop route). The six-night stay at Hotel Villa Romana costs about $581 per person, and tours similar to the Sorrento-Pompeii-Positano day trip start at about $386 per person, for a total of $1,896 for those inclusions alone. For just $103 more, this deal also gets you three other full-day excursions, several tours, and round-trip transportation between Rome and Minori (just under three hours each way).
