Why It's a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare between Miami and Cartagena starts from $455 with taxes for travel in mid-November (Avianca). Add to that $475 per person, including taxes and fees, for five nights at the Hotel Regatta Cartagena, and your total for airfare and accommodations alone is $930 when booked separately. For the same price as airfare and accommodations, this package covers the international flight, five nights' accommodations, daily breakfast, tours of the city, a trip to Islas del Rosario, all transfers, and all hotel taxes and fees.

More Additional activities are available, including a tour to El Totumo, a 50-foot-high mud volcano that travelers can take a mud bath in for $28 per person, and a native-guided canoe tour of mangrove swamps north of Cartagena for $35 per person. Extend your stay at the Hotel Regatta Cartagena for, on average, $50 per person per night, based on double occupancy. Hotel upgrades are available, starting from $100 per person.
