Why It’s a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare between L.A. and Beijing starts from $884 with taxes for travel in mid-February (American Airlines). Add to that $236 per person, including tax, for three nights at New Otani Hotel, and $1,035 for a seven-night Yangtze River cruise including shore excursions, and you’d be paying $2,155 for the international flights, river cruise and accommodations alone. For $656 less than that, this package covers round-trip international flights, three nights’ hotel accommodations, a seven-night river cruise, plus 25 meals, domestic flights, all transfers and sightseeing ground transportation, the services of English-speaking guides and all taxes and fees, and offers the added convenience of all-in-one booking.
