Why It’s a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare between L.A. and Fiji starts from $1,186 with taxes for travel in mid-December (Air Pacific). Add to that $856 per person, including tax, for seven nights at Plantation Island Resort, and you’d be paying $2,042 for just the airfare and accommodations. For $323 less, this package covers the flight, seven nights’ accommodations, the food-and-beverage credit, and all hotel taxes and fees.
