Why It’s a Deal A recent search on Kayak shows the lowest multicity round-trip airfare from New York City to Madrid and Barcelona starts at $650 in late November (Aer Lingus). Add to that $247 per person with taxes for two nights at the Hotel Ganivet, $126 per person with taxes for two nights at the Expo Hotel Valencia, and $242 per person with taxes for two nights at the Hotel Aranea, and you’re paying $1,265 for airfare and accommodation alone. For $50 more, this package gives you airfare, six nights’ accommodation in three Spanish cities, standard rail between them, daily breakfast, and all taxes and fees.

More Several optional tours are available, including a half-day guided tour of Madrid—featuring the Casa de Campo, Mayor Square, and the largest stadium in Europe, among other famous attractions, for $31 per person. Treat yourself to a half-day tour of Toledo, Spain's oldest city, full of world heritage sites and some of the country's most beautiful temples and churches, from $60 per person. For $62 per person, you can take a half-day tour of Barcelona, complete with a bus tour of the Cathedral, Plaza Sant Jaume, and the Gothic Quarter on your way to Olympic Village.
