Why It's a Deal According to a recent search on Kayak, a round-trip flight between New York City and Barcelona starts at $646, with taxes, for travel in late December/early January (Continental). Add to that the $1,999 brochure rate for the 12-night round-trip Mediterranean sail from Barcelona (NCL) and $231 per person, with taxes, for two nights at the H10 Marina Barcelona, and you'd be paying a total of $2,876 if you were to book the package components individually. For $870 less, this package includes the airfare, two nights' hotel in Barcelona, the 12-night Mediterranean cruise, round-trip airport-hotel-port transfers, and all taxes and fees.
