Why It's a Deal According to a recent Kayak search, airfare from Los Angeles to Yangon, a regional flight to Singapore, and return airfare to Los Angeles starts from $1,389 in mid-September (Singapore Air). Add to that $120 per person for three nights at the Summit Parkview Hotel and $295 per person for two nights at the Furama RiverFront, and you'd be looking at $1,804 for airfare and accommodation, taxes and fees included. For just $195 more, this package also gets you transfers, tours, daily breakfast in Yangon—and most importantly, the opportunity to see a reclusive nation that until recently has been largely closed to western eyes.
More Additional nights are available at the Summit Parkview Hotel from $70 per person, per night, and at the Furama RiverFront from $115 per person, per night. Instead of Yangon, guests can choose to substitute three nights in Hanoi (at the Hotel Nikko), Saigon (New World Hotel), or Siem Reap (Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa). Additional visa fees are required for Vietnam ($65) and Cambodia ($35), and each city includes a day of sightseeing.
