Why It's a Deal According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fares between L.A. and Sydney for travel in late July start from $1,244 with taxes (V Australia). Add to that about $400 per person with taxes for four nights at Hotel Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf and you'd be paying a total of $1,644 if you were to book the components of this package independently. For $15 more, this package includes the airfare, four nights' hotel, all taxes and fees—as well as a sightseeing tour, plus the convenience of one-stop shopping.
More Qantas is currently running a special rate starting from $9 per person for optional activities, such as a visit to Sydney Aquarium or a harbor highlights cruise, if booked with a five-night stay. Additional nights at the King Street Wharf are $200 per room per night. Hotel upgrades start from $99 per person for four nights at the Menzies Hotel Sydney. Other hotel upgrades available.
