Why It's a Deal International airfare from Los Angeles to Sydney, with a return flight from Melbourne and a domestic flight between the two Australian cities, starts at $1,491 in early September (Qantas). Add to that $331 per person for three nights at the Ibis World Square and $242 per person for three nights at the Victoria Hotel, and you'd be paying $2,064 per person to book the parts of this package independently. For $75 less, this package gets you the international and domestic airfare, six nights with breakfast in Sydney and Melbourne, all air and hotel taxes and fees, plus the convenience of booking everything at once.

More Additional nights are available at the Ibis World Square from $117 per person, per night. Gate 1 offers optional tours in both cities; for an additional $161 per person, you can add a full-day excursion with lunch to the Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for an additional $67 you can take a half-day city tour of Melbourne's historic locales.
