Why It’s a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare from L.A. to Bangkok starts from $980 with taxes for travel in early September (EVA Air). Add to that $202 per person, including tax, for three nights at Rembrandt Hotel, $40 per person for one night at Kantary Hotel and $80 for two nights at River Kwai Resotel, and you’d be paying $1,302 for just the airfare and accommodations. For $104 less than that, this package covers the flight, six nights’ hotel accommodations, plus seven meals, all ground transportation, including round-trip airport transfers and cross-country sightseeing, plus the services of an English-speaking guide, all taxes and fees, and offers the added convenience of all-in-one booking.
More Adventurous travelers can opt for one or both of two optional extensions—a three-night trip to Cambodia’s Angkor Wat from $999 per person, and a three-night trip to Phuket Island from $449 per person.
