We went to two cruise-related events recently--one was an advance look at Holland America's new ship, the Noordam, and the other was to learn about the River Royale, a new river-cruising ship from Uniworld. An interesting tidbit about the Noordam: The ship will have iPods that passengers can borrow; loaded on them are audiotours of the ship's $4,248,000,00 art collection. As for the River Royale, it looks to be a beaut. It'll sail in France. Another tech tidbit: It's the first river cruise ship anywhere to have Wi-Fi access. Uniworld says the costs will be akin to those at Internet cafes.
