Alert: Amtrak cancellations between NYC and Boston
Between June 14 and 17, Amtrak will cancel many of its Regional Service trains and all of its Acela Express trains between Boston, New Haven, and New York City.
UPDATE June 12, 4p.m.: The installation of a new bridge span on the Thames River Bridge, originally scheduled for June 14 through 17, has been rescheduled for June 16 through June 19.
During the four days, Amtrak will replace the movable span of the 90-year-old Thames River Bridge, which is between Groton and New London, Conn.

UNRELATED, BUT INTERESTING
Some travelers to Amtrak's wing of Union Station in Washington, DC, have been prevented from taking photos of the station from the inside. A Fox TV news crew recently went down to the station to interview a top Amtrak spokesman. In this video, as the spokesman tries to explain that photography is allowed, a guard comes up and tries to stop them from filming, saying it's not allowed.
