The 14th largest city in the U.S., one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest and Ohio’s capital city, Columbus is known for its open attitude, smart style and entrepreneurial spirit. The city is easy to get to, as it’s located within a day’s drive or a one-hour flight of more than half the U.S. population.

Visitors will find some of the nation’s top attractions in Columbus. COSI has been named the best science museum in the country by USA Today 10Best for three consecutive years, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum is the only museum in the U.S. that tells the stories of veterans from all branches of the military, the world-class Columbus Zoo & Aquarium is one of the largest in the U.S., and Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens displays the world's largest collection of Dale Chihuly's glass artwork in a botanical garden.

Sports enthusiasts will love visiting the Arena District where the city’s three professional sports teams have stadiums just a few blocks from one other. Inclusive and welcoming, Columbus hosts the largest Pride celebration in the Midwest and scored a 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index in 2021.

Columbus is also home to some of the world’s most recognizable brands, innovative small businesses, powerhouse research hubs and academic institutions. In January 2022, Intel — the only major semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in the U.S. — chose the Columbus Region for a $20B chip production facility.

Additionally, 16 Fortune 1000 companies and five Fortune 500 companies are based in the region, which has one of the youngest and most educated populations in the country.

Some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods include the buzzing Short North Arts District, Downtown and picturesque German Village.
