"The Keystone Cliffs are formed of Jurassic-age sandstone called Aztec Sandstone that formed in a sea of sand dunes that covered the region long ago. In the Spring Mountains to the west are much older Paleozoic carbonate rocks that have been thrust over the younger Aztec Sandstone along the Keystone Fault, a major geologic structure in southern Nevada."

"On the western side of Kauai is Waimea Canyon, also called the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific.' Milepost 18 is Kalalau Point. This is a famous view that you will see in several Kauai travel and guide books. It's pretty hard to take a bad picture of Kalalau Point in my opinion."
"The highlight of the 17-mile hike we took in Los Glaciares National Park in the Patagonia region of Southern Argentina was this view of the mountain range. The area is so pristine we were able to drink melted glacier water flowing in streams down from the mountains above."
