An ad in Sunday's New York Times screamed "Ladies Night Out on Broadway"—women get 20 percent off tickets to participating shows, including A Chorus Line, Hairspray, The Color Purple, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, and Xanadu. (Plus, there's a party at something called Spotlight Live, with giveaways, panels, and more, co-hosted by the delightful Jackie Hoffman.) I was just happy to see that Broadway has figured out that girlfriend getaways are such a huge trend. Whenever I get on my soapbox about it (because of course we have a magazine on the topic), I always mention Broadway as a great example: Go to any show and you'll see that a big part of the audience is groups of women, having a ball.
